So here is how I did the juicing. First, I needed to find a place where I could get a lot of fruits and veggies at a lower cost than some of the name brand stores. I needed to have a new tire put on my van and decided to do that at the dealer. So, I figured if I was going to drive so dang far, I would get more out of the trip.
I grew up in Oregon and there was a nice grocery store near us that my mom always shopped at. It is now been renamed Winco. Recently, Winco has decided to come to Arizona. I with they would have decided to come closer to where I live. But, at least there is one here now. I like Winco because they are a huge grocery store and have great prices. They also have a great bulk food section. Anyway, I was able to score myself a cart full of fruits and veggies.
Getting home and figuring out what fruits and veggies to put together to make a good juice. The answer would be that not really any combination make a good juice. Lets just say that the fruit and veggie juices you can buy in the store is NOT made without a lot of doctoring.
Here is what I decided on:
And this is what I ended up with. Oh, I did end up adding a few apples and a cucumber just to get a full 3 liters.
I decided that I don't like celery or cucumbers in my juice. They overpower the juice and are kinda bitter. So throughout the day I drank these three containers of juice. I was hungry and had a bit of a hard time adjusting to it, but I did have some good results as far as weightloss and getting rid of my headaches.
I am trying to psych myself into doing this one day a week to help keep my system cleansed and helping my body get a good dose of the vitamins that are to be found in fruits and veggies. So here's to getting myself all juiced up!
